Students' Hostel at Mainzer Straße


We ask all students who have been accepted for our International Coaching Course to travel directly to the students' hostel. There we will provide you with keys and further information.

From Leipzig Main Station to the Students' Hostel at Mainzer Strasse 2

Take Tram No. 1 (final stop "Lausen")
4 stops to "Marschnerstraße"

The stops of this tram are:

1. Goerdelerring

2. Gottschedstraße

3. Westplatz

4. Marschner Straße (get off the tram here)

Once you got off the tram, turn right into the street called "Marschner Strasse" and walk about 100m, you will cross a little bridge.
 On the left side you will see a multi-storey building: the students' hostel.

From the airport to Leipzig main station

Note: Do not take a taxi from Frankfurt or Berlin to Leipzig as this may cost up to 700 €!

Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ) - Leipzig main station (Hauptbahnhof)

At Leipzig/Halle airport please take one of the shuttle trains (IC train or train S 5 / S 5X) to Leipzig main station (duration: about 15 minutes). The German railway company "Deutsche Bahn" offers travel information in different languages online. Normally, at least two trains should run every hour.

Frankfurt Airport (FRA) - Leipzig

By train:

There is a large railway station at Frankfurt Airport with direct trains to Leipzig main station (duration: about 4 hours). The German railway company "Deutsche Bahn" offers travel information in different languages online.

By plane:

There are direct connections from Frankfurt Airport (FRA) to Leipzig/Halle Airport (LEJ). Duration: about 1 hour 

Berlin Schönefeld Airport (SXF) – Leipzig

By train:
At Berlin Schönefeld Airport a direct walkway will lead you to Schönefeld train station (5 minutes walking distance). From there you can take train no. 45 to the train station "Fernbahnhof Südkreuz" (duration: about 30 min). There is a direct connection from this train station to Leipzig main station (duration: about 1 hour). The German railway company "Deutsche Bahn" offers travel information in different languages online. 

By plane to Leipzig/Halle Airport:

There is no direct connection from Berlin Schönefeld Airport to Leipzig/Halle Airport.

Berlin Tegel Aiport (TXL) – Leipzig

By train:
At the airport you can take the TXL JetExpressBus to Berlin Alexanderplatz, get off the bus at Berlin main station (duration: about 22 minutes). Travel information on direct connections from Berlin main station to Leipzig main station (duration: about 1 hour 15 minutes) is offered by the German railway company "Deutsche Bahn" in different languages online.

By plane:

There is no direct connection from Berlin Tegel Airport to Leipzig/Halle Airport.
